Our story begins in the year 2008, from the pure desire to explore with a great passion for nature
SKUA Nature Group is an international wildlife travel and conservation company rooted in Italy. Since 2008, we have been creating unique experiences that connect travelers, photographers, and nature lovers with the wildest corners of Europe.
Our mission goes beyond travel: we contribute to the creation of new nature reserves, build eco-integrated photo hides, and support conservation and local development programs in areas often overlooked by traditional tourism.
Every destination we work in brings new challenges — from technical to environmental to cultural — and every step forward has shaped our expertise and our values.
Today, SKUA stands as a growing network of field-based initiatives, driven by a deep passion for wildlife and the belief that nature can be a powerful source of sustainable value for local communities.
We also run training and scholarship programs to help people develop skills, knowledge, and new ways of relating to the natural world.
We don’t fear competition. On the contrary, we hope that more and more people will start seeing wildlife not just as something to protect, but as something that can sustain and inspire — now and for future generations.
Over the years, SKUA has expanded its reach by developing and integrating new wildlife-focused brands and local initiatives across Europe. Here are some of the most recent ones — each deeply connected to its territory and community:
Better Moments: acquired in 2024, Better Moments is one of the most relevant experience operator in Svalbard (Norway)
Lofoten Adventures is a local project launched in May 2025 to offer unique wild experiences in Lofoten Islands.
Skjervoy Experiences is a local project launched in October 2024 to offer Winter boat tours in Arctic Norway, with a focus on orca and whale encounters during the spectacular herring migration season.
Birding hornoya is another local project dedicated to Hornøya Island, Norway’s iconic seabird sanctuary. Puffins, guillemots, and razorbills in an unforgettable Arctic birding experience.
Extremadura Wild is the local project related to the Wildlife exploration in the heart of Spain — from the red deer rut to raptors in Monfragüe and the sweeping dehesas of Extremadura.

Our Mission
SKUA Nature Group is a global initiative dedicated to developing sustainable natural tourism that generates a positive economic impact. This approach allows us to support and implement conservation efforts in the regions where we operate. For more than a decade, we have collaborated with conservation associations, public institutions, protected areas, private landowners, and local businesses to built nature reserves, nature disclosure centers, and photographic hides.
